Your Venus Sign: The Style of Relationship You Enjoy

Venus, identified with the Greek goddess Aphrodite, is the planet of love and relationships. In our birth chart she says much about the style and form of relationship we may enjoy, and the kind of individual that we may be interested in attracting. Understanding our Venus is therefore an essential component of fully appreciating our relationship needs.

In this article, we will briefly consider how Venus might express in some of the zodiac signs.

Venus in Aries

This shows that relationships for you need to be passionate, adventurous and full of initiative. It suits you to take the lead in wooing your partner and in displays of affection. Getting out and trying new things will aid your feeling of satisfaction with your partnership. This is an exciting sign for partnership and the first rush of a relationship may be the phase to which you are particularly attracted. You may therefore need to work harder on staying with a partnership once the initial excitement has worn off. Be creative in how you then spice up your romance, and take the lead in doing so. The more you can be in the driving seat in a partnership, the more you will be expressing your vital needs in this area.

Venus in Taurus

Peace, tranquillity and harmony are the name of the game here. You require stability and security in your relationships and may find a partner who somehow embodies these qualities particularly attractive. You value the tangible and the material and your relationships will benefit from fine dining, flowers and sensual accompaniments. This is a strong placement for attracting partners who have a stable, rock-like component to their nature. It is quite unlikely that you will enjoy someone flighty or too changeable; the peacefulness in your nature would find that quite unsettling. It is also likely that you will like a partner who is settled, who understands the material world, and who has some talent in dealing with it. Perhaps your ideal partner will have their own property for example, and a healthy bank balance. This is not because you are more interested in money than love; it is simply that you love a person who has the ability to deal with the material side of life and to create a solid aura of security.

Venus in Gemini

This is quite a restless Venus. It is very important that your relationships provide intellectual stimulation and great communication. Having a partner with whom it is difficult to talk or with whom there is a lack of verbal exchange would not suit you at all. Make your relationships interesting: share ideas and books and do plenty of socialising together. Gemini is known as the sign of duality so with this sign, one may enjoy a partner with a complex character, who has two different sides to them. Venus in Gemini will also enjoy a lot of freedom in relationships, so a partner who is constantly checking up on where you are or who wants to be with you twenty-four seven is not likely to appeal. Room to breathe and enjoy reflection on the relationship will be a joy and ensures the partnership is kept alive by freshness and sparkle when you do get together.

Honouring your Venus needs will be an important component of creating a successful relationship with a soul-mate.
