Q: Are horoscope readings by phone a good idea? Are they worth paying for... or am I better off sticking to the free newspaper or magazine horoscopes that I can find EVERYWHERE online or off? Is a personal horoscope more accurate? And if so... WHY so?

A: One of the most common questions we get about our psychic and astrological reviews is the difference between free readings (which are pretty much advertised everywhere) and paid or premium readings, which obviously involve a cost and that makes many callers and clients on a budget... pause. (often permanently!)

The truth is, you get what you pay for in this world... and while many people don't like to hear that, it's 100% true. Rarely are you going to find a free horoscope in a local paper that is really going to match your needs, or wants, or answer the REAL questions you have about your own life, in a profound or powerful way.

Of course they are nice to read, are often entertaining and a bit enlightening, and can even shed a general insight, or outline on the sort of stuff that may be happening in the background, or in the overarching universe that governs EVERYONE's life who shares your sign.

But to think that a free reading, or a broad overview of millions of people is going to SPECIFICALLY apply to you and your life, and is going to really add value, or really help you make an important decision, is a bit foolhardy for me. (and most others who really love to explore psychic, spiritual and astrological issues from a bigger perspective)

That said, horoscopes by phone are often a GREAT alternative for folks who can't afford a celebrity psychic or astrologer, or can't afford to pay someone in their own local community, and YET... aren't satisified with the sort of generic advice they find for free in print, or in the online digital world.

A good phone reading can be VERY inexpensive (often 10-20 dollars if you know where to look) and more important, they often come with great guarantees, as the phone astrological universe is a real business... and with that, contrary to the pessimistic perspective that most think that deserves, brings consumer protections to YOU that you simply can't get in the real world.

How so? As an example, I once had a celebrity reading with a well known astrologer and psychic medium who charges over $1000 for a short session. It was a disaster... not accurate, not good, and I was so disappointed, I wanted to ask for my money back. (but I was too embarrassed to do it, and I know I would have been laughed at if I did)

Conversely... MOST psychic phone services offer money back guarantees that range from GREAT to good, with most of the ones we use and recommend promising that if you aren't blown away... you don't have to pay. (a pretty good promise that takes away MOST of the fear or concern about getting scammed, ripped off or even simply disappointed like I was above)

* Convenience (as you don't have to leave your home... or even get out of bed..:-)
* Comfort (as it's much easier to share your thoughts, fears and feelings with someone on the phone, than going to see a stranger in person, face to face, in a foreign place!)

Of course there is more... but that is a good overview on phone readings are fun, enlightening, inspiring and often quite empowering... without needing to break your budget or leave your own home to boot!
